Studying costs money, and it is possible that you have opted for a study program that you really want to attend, but you currently do not have sufficient financial resources to pay for it. That is why we have developed the Study Personal loan (StudyPL) especially for you. With the StudyPL you can therefore attend the study program of your choice with affordable financing, despite the fact that you currently do not have sufficient money.

Documents to be submitted when applying for the StudyPL

In order to process the StudyPL, we need the following documents from you as well as from the guarantor (co-borrower):

• a fully completed and signed application form;
• copy of a valid ID;
• recent employer’s statement (including home address, position, and date of employment);
• recent salary specification;
• recent bank statement if the salary account is held with another bank;
• only from the deposit: extract from the Central Office for Civil Affairs

The StudyPL Guide includes the Study and CoursePL, which provides an overview of the training options of various higher education institutions in Suriname with the associated financing options.

CoursePL

Sometimes you want to be retrained in a specific field. At that time, a professionally oriented study program or training program is the ideal way to acquire the necessary knowledge in a short period of time. We have developed the CoursePL especially for those cases. The CoursePL is financing with a maximum duration of one calendar year, independent of the study program duration.

Documents to be submitted when applying for the CoursePL

In order to process the CoursePL, we need the following documents from you:

• a fully completed and signed application form;
• copy of a valid ID;
• recent employer’s statement (including home address, position, and date of employment);
• recent salary specification;
• recent bank statement if the salary account is held with another bank.

If you own a company, the following documents must be submitted:

• valid ID;
• a fully completed and signed application form;
• recent financial information of the company (financial statements);
• extract from the Central Office for Civil Affairs;
• extract from the Chamber of Commerce.
