Internet Banking
To protect your own privacy and to prevent misuse by others, these are some important tips:
- Never write down your personal access codes anywhere.
- Don't use an obvious passcode, such as a name, or date of birth, and change it regularly.
- Make sure you are always present at the computer when you are logged in.
- Use recent anti-virus software, and make sure that the anti-virus program is always active, even if you do not have an internet connection.
- Check whether you have a secure connection to the Hakrinbank. You do this by double clicking the lock. The details of the secure connection are then shown.
- Never just install a program that is offered to you via e-mail, a chat box, by a newsgroup, or on a burned CD-ROM, or floppy disk.
- Check regularly whether you have the latest version of your browser.
- Hakrinbank's policy is never to ask for pin codes or other access codes, not even via e-mail or internet form. So never provide your access codes to third parties, even if requested.
The Hakrinbank places high demands on security, and therefore applies various security methods and techniques to protect your transactions and data sent via the internet. When you log in to internet banking, a secure connection is established between you and our computer. SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) is used for this secure connection. This is a security technique that ensures that all data exchanged between your computer and the Hakrinbank computer are encrypted. As soon as an SSL connection is established, a closed lock will appear in your browser.
Your data are also protected by a personal access code, which you can change at any time. In addition, our internet banking site is certified by the international independent certificate authority VeriSign Inc. The certification means that the authenticity, confidentiality, and data integrity are guaranteed in all business transactions.
The connection to our computer will also be automatically disconnected if you do not perform any operations for more than 15 minutes. You must log in again to continue.
