Partnerships

The Hakrinbank is aware of how important nature is to humanity and to our economy and, together with the SGPP, is committed to protecting Suriname’s nature through sustainable business practices, among other things. For this reason, Hakrinbank has been a partner in the Suriname Conservation Foundation Green Partnership Program (SGPP) since 2010.

The objectives of the SCF Green Partnership Program (SGPP) are:

• broadening the financial support of the SCF Endowment Fund for financing projects;
• processes to make the internal organization greener by applying innovative, administrative, and production methods/technologies;
• stimulating the application of green technology and processes that should make a positive contribution to the further development of Suriname;
• providing support for the production of educational videos/documentaries to disseminate and broaden knowledge about Suriname’s nature;
• organizing seminars on specific topics related to the protection of our nature;
• as a partner within this program, the Hakrinbank also strives to embed the aforementioned goals in its business operations.
